Sam Brodsgaard founded Metroplex Music Therapy in 2009. He holds a degree in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University, as well as a Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Sam has sung professionally since age 18, performing as a concert soloist with several Texas symphony orchestras, including the Las Colinas, Metrocrest, Garland, Waco, and Arlington Symphonies. Other notable appearances include guest soloist for the Van Cliburn Concert Series, as well as diverse roles at Casa Manana Theater.
While pursuing a professional singing career and a master’s degree in music therapy, Sam taught private voice lessons for several area schools, including Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Dallas, and Carroll Senior High School in Southlake. He completed his music therapy training in 2008 at MusicWorx of California in San Diego, working with world-renown music therapist Barbara Reuer.
